I still love the guitar, and I could have limped through by just using the MAG jack, but I'm really disappointed with PRS using such a poor battery compartment design. I suspect that, given some time and talent with a soldering iron I could come up with something (maybe shrink wrap tubing around the connection?).

He was able to solder them back on, but the 15 min I waited to see him and the 5 min it took for him to fix it felt like an eternity!īTW, I asked the tech is there was something he could do to prevent that from happening in the future and he said there wasn't. I opened the battery compartment and broke one of the battery holder leads.įortunately I was at the Guitar Sanctuary and the store was still open.Īs I was showing the Tech my problem, I broke the second lead! Load-in was at 3pm, sound check was around 4pm and the gig started at 6.Īll went well until I decided to be on the safe side and changed out the battery on my PRS at around 5:30.

Several weeks ago, I had a wedding gig at The Guitar Sanctuary.
